Linux Administration Workshop Launched Under EUMEDplus Project

On 14 April 2025, the Linux Administration Workshop was officially launched as part of the EUMEDplus project, marking a significant step toward strengthening the technical capabilities of our regional community. The initiative is a joint effort between SESAME and ASREN, reflecting a shared commitment to building robust digital infrastructure across the region.

The training program is designed to enhance the expertise of system and network administrators, offering hands-on experience that goes beyond theory. By equipping participants with practical skills, the workshop lays the foundation for future secure, seamless access and authentication services between institutions.

The opening session brought together participants from a diverse group of countries, including Mauritania, the United States, Morocco, Algeria, Tunisia, Somalia, Sudan, Oman, Egypt, Palestine, and Jordan — underscoring the international and collaborative spirit of the initiative. This workshop is more than just a training; it’s a strategic investment in the human infrastructure necessary to support research, education, and innovation across borders.
